Ska is gaining popularity with young music lovers around Boston. In this segment, VJ Craig Shannon introduces a friend of his to the local ska community.

On the south shores of Massachusetts, Flim Fest got its start in someone’s backyard with an inFocus projector and a bed sheet tied between two trees. Four years later, it’s an annual event of local film, music and art. VJ Craig Shannon was at Flim Fest to see what the attraction is.

Since its passage in 1990 the American's with Disabilities Act has had a significant impact on people with disabilities including access to transportation, communication, public accommodation and employment. In 1999 the U.S. Supreme Court, (under the Olmstead Decision) determined that the American's with Disabilities Act also applies to a person's right to live in a community.
This year sees the ten year anniversary of Olmstead, which certified that the segregation of people with disabilities in institutions is discriminatory and violates basic civil rights. Since this decision States have expanded opportunities for community based living for people with disabilities as well as taken actions to make life easier for said people in the general populace.

After 2 months of biking around the state of Massachusetts students from around the world finished their trek in Jamaica Plain, Mass this past Saturday August 1st. The coalition of bikers sponsored by the student run organization Masspowershift spent their summer off from school canvasing door to door, gaining support for the %100 clean electricity initiative set forth by Al Gore and his WE campaign.
