Alternatives to the Death Penalty
In 1991 over 70% of the state's population supported the death penalty. In just 2 decades support for the death penalty has decreased and people now prefer true life sentences to execution. In this piece I examine the cultural sea change and how our state can benefit both sociologically and financially from abandoning the death penalty.
